The Roof is Done!

Woo hoo. Our roof is done! The pounding has stopped. Stepping on nails outside is over. The dog can come down off her meds now and calm down. Take a look at the before and afters. We highly recommend the folks at Sonshine Roofing. They did us right!

Fixin' Up The House

Well a month or so ago, Sean and I started tearing apart one of the bathrooms. We starting taking down all the tile in the master bath shower. Well, last night we finished that shower, and it is ready for new backer board, and then tiling. After we are done with the shower, we will then move to the vanity/sink and then the floor. Once that bathroom is done, we will move to the other one and install a whole new tub, and a new vanity/sink, as well. After that, we will do something with the kitchen. Not sure what yet, but definitely an update to the cabinets is in order. Then the floors get something done. Hardwood? Carpet? No idea yet.


Today, the roof got started. We chose SonShine Roofing in Sarasota. They were great to work with, and boy did they start quick. We just signed all the papers last week, and here they were this morning, eager and ready to start. I think their plan is to be done by the weekend. Hopefully, it won't rain before then. Poor Lucy, our Golden Retriever. She is going crazy with all the noise. Banging, sawing, etc. Even with a house full of people, she can't stand this much noise.

Happy New Year! (The times - they are a changin')

Well happy new year from all of us to all of you. As we have our version of Boxing Day here in Florida, we have some bitter-sweet news to give to everyone. After almost 7 years of being in the Sarasota area, and after over a year of praying and seeking the Lord, we have come to the decision to move back to the Orlando area. There are many factors that went into the decision, yet we still don't really understand the ultimate reason why the Lord wants us to move, we still must follow his leading to do so. Once we move we will once again attend Metro Life Church in Casselberry. The older teens look forward to being part of a large youth ministry, and at the same time, the younger children will miss not being able to see their friends they have grown up as much. So, as the summer approaches we will be getting the house ready to sell and begin to look for a place in the Casselberry area. We'll try to keep the blog up to date as we proceed.
